Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: August 2026
Welcome to Nest + Nourish BK. By booking our services or using this website, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully — they're designed to make sure we're on the same page and that your experience goes smoothly.
About Our Services
Nest & Nourish LLC provides in-home private chef and meal preparation services in the Brooklyn, NY area. Each service visit includes grocery shopping, in-home meal preparation of several dishes, labeling and dating of all prepared items, and cleanup of the workspace used.
Services are offered on a 3-month minimum commitment basis. A designated weekly service day and start time will be agreed upon prior to your first visit and will remain consistent throughout the term unless both parties agree in writing to a change.
Meals prepared during each visit are intended to sustain you for approximately 5–7 days. Actual yield varies based on individual portion sizes, appetite, and household composition. This is a guideline, not a guarantee.
Fees & Payment
A flat day rate applies for each scheduled service visit, covering one adult client or one couple in the same household. Grocery and ingredient costs are billed separately at actual cost, with receipts provided. Any initial supply or equipment costs (e.g., food storage containers, specialized cookware) will be invoiced prior to your first visit. These items belong to you and remain in your home.
Invoices are sent via text or email within 24 hours of each visit. Payment is due within 72 hours (3 business days) of receiving your invoice. Accepted payment methods: Zelle, cash, check, or a payment link provided by Chef.
A late fee of $15.00 per day will be applied to any unpaid invoice after the 3-day window. Nest & Nourish LLC is not obligated to schedule a subsequent visit while an outstanding balance remains.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Life happens — we get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require a minimum of 14 days' written notice prior to your scheduled service date. If proper notice is given, you may request to reschedule at a future date, subject to availability. Rescheduling is offered as a courtesy and is not guaranteed.
If you cancel with less than 14 days' notice, or are unavailable on your scheduled service day, the full service rate will be owed for that visit. Grocery and supply costs already incurred will also be billed in full. No partial-term refunds will be issued once a billing period has begun.
Menu Confirmation & Client Responsibilities
Menus are confirmed collaboratively no later than 48 hours before each scheduled visit. You are responsible for communicating any dietary changes, food allergies, intolerances, or aversions at the time of menu confirmation. Last-minute changes may not be accommodated.
As a client, you agree to provide safe access to your kitchen, handle and store all prepared food safely, consume or discard food within 5–7 days, and ensure all household members consuming the meals are aware of these terms.
Food Safety & Health
Nest & Nourish LLC uses professional-level food handling practices. Once food is left in your home, you assume full responsibility for its safe keeping and consumption. We are not responsible for any illness or adverse reaction arising from food that was improperly stored, reheated, or held beyond recommended timeframes.
It is your sole responsibility to disclose all known food allergies and dietary restrictions — including those of any household member consuming the meals.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nest & Nourish LLC's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the single service visit giving rise to that claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.
Intellectual Property
All menus, recipes, techniques, and materials created or provided by Nest & Nourish LLC are our exclusive intellectual property. You may not reproduce, share, sell, or distribute any such materials without prior written consent.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we'll first try to resolve it through direct communication. If unsuccessful, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator's decision is final. The maximum remedy available is a refund of the most recent invoice paid. Any claim must be initiated within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the dispute.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our website or services following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
